Q: Is it appropriate to tip my event manager? If so, how much should I tip? A: If you feel that your event manager has done a good job, then yes, by all means you should tip them. An appropriate tip is somewhere between $50 - $150.
Q: Do I need a DJ, or can I just bring my I-Pod for music at my reception? A: It is a bad idea to just bring an MP3 player. A DJ will not only provide a wide selection of music, but is also there to make announcements, take requests, and keep the party going throughout your event. Please see our Vendor List for a list of DJ's that we like.
Q: Should I use a card basket or a card box? A: We highly recommend that you use a card box for all the cards and gift cards that you will be receiving. We also suggest that you have a member of your family lock the card box in a trunk or somewhere safe at the start of the reception.
Q: Can I hire a Caterer that is not on your Vendor List? A: If you choose a caterer that is not on our list, you must get them approved through us. We have several requirements for catering companies to cater an Event at The Chateaux. While most caterers comply with our requirements, you must get them approved.
Q: What if I would like a restaurant to cater my event, or have a family member make the food for me? A: In this case, we require that you hire a staffing company. Please ask us to give you a couple of referrals.
Q: How does bringing your own alcohol work? A: You can buy your alcohol through any source that you would like. (We do have a list of reputable liquor stores for your review). You tell them what alcohol that you would like, they will bring more then you could use, and refund you for whatever is unopened at the end of the night. This is a huge money saver!
