“Niki and Colin’s wedding was a joy to photograph! Having a March wedding in Colorado means you run the risk of a snowy day, but this was a risk that Niki and Colin had hoped for–and they got just what they wanted! The morning of their wedding, the entire city was covered with a beautiful blanket of fresh snow, setting the scene for their wistful, wintery wedding.
The snow did not make for a drab day; Niki was prepared with touches of yellow, and personal touches to each detail of her wedding. From her ‘convertible dress’ (it had a detachable tool skirt that she took off for her reception!!) to the groomsmen’s suede yellow kicks, to the bridesmaids lace tops–every detail was carefully thought of and placed!
Not only was Niki and Colin’s wedding beautiful, but they were a joy to work with. Niki was cool, calm and collected and Colin was an excited groom. They chose to do a first look session, which made the day run smoothly and put the couple at ease.
Their reception followed a gorgeous ceremony and they got the party started with my PicShareUs photo booth–a big crowd pleaser.
Toward the end the evening, Niki’s Uncle wrapped up the party with a traditional dutch wedding march complete with a ‘hoisting’ of the bride and groom.
I had a blast photographing their day and was honored they chose me to capture it!”
