Layne has been with “The Chateaux” since 2006.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I started working at The Chateaux when I was a senior in high school, setting up for weddings and other events. I loved the atmosphere and being a part of people’s special day so much that I wanted to go one step farther and manage events! I recently graduated from Colorado State University and hope to teach elementary school by day and help people enjoy their event by night!

What is the latest wedding trend you have noticed?
Décor! More people are adding their own personal touches to their event by bringing in lighting, paper decorations, different prints, new ideas for centerpieces and much more! These things can help make the event feel like it is really yours and they do NOT have to break the bank!

My top five event planning tips:

• ENJOY the process! Savor every moment.

• Inclusive packages are great for convenience and quality of service! The vendors are the best of the best.

• Personalize your event with décor, a special drink or a theme, something to make it yours! Bring out your personality.

• Come to our open tours! You can meet vendors and get individual attention without having to make appointments.

• Make a timeline of when things need to get done and you will have less stress the closer you get to your big day!
